Richard Knowles

In his role as Principal Adviser, Richard has a range of strategic and operational responsibilities.   He has overall responsibility for managing the secondary school Review and Development Programme.   This includes leading and managing the link adviser and subject adviser teams.  He also leads the learning and teaching strategy group which includes key personnel within ESIS and includes officer representation from the 5 Local Authority areas in the Central South Consortium.
 

Richard reports directly to the Chief Executive at ESIS and communicates regularly with senior officers across the 5 Local Authority areas.

Richard has a Masters Degree in Learning Teaching and Educational Management.  He is an experienced Registered Inspector and an accredited School Improvement Partner.  When time permits, he is a keen swimmer, a really bad runner and is currently attempting to learn to ski.
