How to access ESIS
Whilst ESIS services are offered to all, those who subscribe to the ESIS support agreement will have access to a priority booking service. The services offered come in many forms, mainly provided through an extensive CPD course programme and a network of consultants, trainers and curriculum innovators.
Administration of ESIS courses
- These courses may be chosen in order to reflect the priorities of the individual school and of teachers within the school.
- A school that subscribes to the support agreement may require further courses outside of the allocation. This can be arranged however the school must indicate on the INSET2 form, or using the website if the charge for the course is to invoiced or allocated against the schools Better Schools Fund.
- To book a course please use one of the following options.
- Use the on-line booking service on the website.
- If you are a school within the four LEAs use the template provided for the INSET2 form and send it via e-mail to INSET@esis.org.uk .
- Use a paper copy and return the form to the INSET team at the ESIS main office.
- Schools outside of the support agreement can use the same options for procuring services as above however there will be a premium charge for the service.
Consultancy
Consultancy is now provided in many different modes. This service can be offered to you by way of one day visits to the school to meet with colleagues or closure days for whole school training. Where issues are generic cluster schools or even cross phase closure days can be arranged. As the service to be provided will be based on the number of consultant days required and number of delegates attending the cost to the school will be calculated and communicated in writing for acceptance.
Schools may access this service by using one of the following methods.
- Use the on-line booking service on the website and clicking on the consultancy section on the left side of the screen.
- If you are a school within the four LEAs use the template provided for the INSET3 form and send it via e-mail to INSET@esis.org.uk
- Alternatively a paper copy of an INSET 3 form outlining the consultancy required and the source of funding, e.g. SLA, additional GEST allocation, GTCW grant/bursary, school base budget, may be sent to the INSET team at the ESIS main office.
If the request is for services which are detailed in the SLA the request should state the service and the price for the work. If the request involves several advisers and delegates are involved the work will need to be referred to the Business Manager who will liaise with the relevant consultants and make an offer in writing for your acceptance. This can still be conveyed via one of the options above.
