Link2Learn

Link2Learn is a strategic framework that supports the development of networks of schools by promoting and sharing good practice. Schools are at the heart of the network with individual schools and clusters identifying their own priorities for development.

The network is supported by the Think2Learn skills based training programme. This is an optional programme that schools can choose to engage with. It includes a broad range of ‘grass roots’ teaching and learning resources that focus heavily on the requirements of the revised curriculum for Wales.

The structure provides support in the form of adviser facilitators who work together with Learning and Teaching Coordinators and groups of teachers. Their aim is to further improve the quality of learning and teaching in line with the revised curriculum requirements and to record the outcomes of their endeavours in a form that others can easily understand.

The web-based Link2Learn good practice database hosts this information that ranges across the full age range.

Whilst facilitators are allocated to particular clusters, any teacher or group of teachers can engage with the network by accessing the database and/or by forwarding one or more examples of good practice for possible inclusion into database.
