The Children’s Commissioner for Wales is announced as key note speaker for Merthyr Tydfil Inclusion Conference at ESIS
On Tuesday 16 March 2010 ESIS will be hosting the ‘Schools Making a Difference in Merthyr Tydfil’ conference.
The keynote address will be given by Keith Towler, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales, when he will launch ‘Listening and Learning’.
A variety of workshops will be available; it is anticipated that sessions will include:
• Learning and Wellbeing
• Learner Voice
• English as an Additional Language
• Physical Disabilities in Mainstream Settings
• Transition and BESD
• Unlocking the Potential
During mid-morning and lunch refreshment breaks delegates will have the opportunity to peruse a range of exhibitors from voluntary bodies, support agencies and commercial sectors.
All Merthyr Tydfil schools are invited to send up to two members of staff to the conference and one day’s supply costs will be available to assist with cover arrangements.
