Introduction

The LA is in receipt of a specific grant from WAG to assist its schools and registered settings in raising standards in the Foundation Phase.

The agreed priorities and training programme offered is decided by the RCT Foundation Phase Strategic Group based on evidence from the audit carried out in the summer term primary R & D programme; evaluations from courses, and feedback given to FPTSO on visits, also WAG priorities.

This group has on it representatives of the LA Education and Children Services Directorate, headteachers and representatives from the non-maintained sector.The agreed priorities for April 2010 - March 2011 are:-
