On Thursday 5th November ESIS hosted a conference organised by the 14-19 Quality Champions for Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Vale of Glamorgan. The opening presentation was from Hilary Griffiths of the Welsh Assembly Government and this was followed by a workshop led by the Quality Champions on the issues facing 14-19 Networks in terms of Quality Assurance. David Turrell and Mary Rose then shared their experiences from the Kingswood Partnership in England. In the afternoon, delegates focused on measuring well-being following a presentation from Siân James from Cardiff County Borough Council and the conference closed with a personal view on Quality Assurance from Dr. Elwyn Davies of Pencoed School in Bridgend.
