Presentations >> Implementing the New Curriculum Science - Number

In April 2007 ESIS began training science teachers to deliver the new curriculum 8-14. The first tranche of courses is now about to be completed and the programme for the next three years will provide different training opportunities, involving the sharing of good practice between schools, and the development of a range of new resources and activities. Because of this we are now able to place all training resources used in the last 3 years on our website for free access by all.

Our first resource was a SlideShow called 'The New Science Curriculum at Key Stage 3', which summarises some of the main messages shared with delegates so far.

This second contribution is called 'Implementing the New Curriculum (Science) - Number. Once again there is a downloadable slideshow which provides a nay of thinking about the delivery of a skills based curriculum, a range of resources linked to the DCELLS level ladders most relevant to developing pupils number skills, and a selection of resources collected from a range of well-known projects.

Hopefully, as we publish the rest of our materials, teachers who did not attend the INSET might benefit from some of the work done so far.
