This document provides an overview of some of the action research projects conducted by primary and secondary schools in Rhondda Cynon Taf, following the ESIS training course Developing Skills in Reading: Foundation Phase to Key Stage 3. The wide range of projects cover Initial Reading Skills, Fluency and Expression, Inference and Understanding and Critical Literacy. All of these examples were originally showcased in the RCT Transition and Sharing of Good Practice Conferences in the spring and summer of 2010.
